WALLA WALLA — Cherry Street between Fourth Avenue and Fifth Avenue, and Fifth Avenue between Cherry Street and Main Street, will be closed starting at 7 a.m. Thursday. The road will reopen by 4:30 p.m. Friday. The closure is to allow a contractor to install a sewer line and a manhole. Local traffic will have access and a detour will be provided.
WALLA WALLA — East Cherry and Sumach streets will be closed to traffic between North Spokane Street and Palouse Street for work on Wednesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 pm. Emergency vehicles will not have access.
South Fourth Avenue between Stahl and Eagan streets will be closed all day Wednesday for sewer service replacement.
WALLA WALLA — Tietan Street from Plaza Way to Fourth Avenue and Myra Road from Poplar Street to Garrison Creek will be closed to all traffic starting 9 p.m. on Wednesday for the application of a seal coat on top of the recently applied chip seal on these two roadways. Emergency vehicles will not be allowed.
Cayuse Street from Cherry to Pine streets will be closed starting Monday for installation of a power conduit by a private contractor. The road will remain closed until the work is complete. Emergency vehicles will have access.
WALLA WALLA — West Main Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues will be closed 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday so city crews can replace water services. Detours will be in place. Emergency vehicles will not have access.
Colville Street between Rose and Sumach streets will be closed, possibly on Friday from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. for sewer work.
Clay and Columbia streets have been temporarily closed to vehicle traffic from Howard to Center streets until weather and road conditions improve, the city announced at 3:45 p.m. today. The streets are under construction to replace water and sewer utilities and the rain has created a muddy situation that has rendered them impassable to traffic. Emergency vehicles also are not permitted.
