Holbrook and Ferraro
Former Walla Walla residents Corrine Holbrook and Nick Ferraro, both of Hillsboro, Ore., wed July 21, 2012, at Mill Creek Gardens in Walla Walla. Pastor Lon Stokes officiated. The bride is the daughter of Don and Tina Holbrook of Walla Walla. She graduated from Walla Walla High School in 2009, Walla Walla Community College in 2010 and expects to graduate from Portland State University in 2014. The groom is the son of Mark Ferraro of Walla Walla and Wendy Fekkers of Albany, Ore. He graduated from Wa-Hi in 2006 and from the Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls in 2010. He works for General Electric-Healthcare in Hillsboro, Ore. Anne Schulz was maid of honor. Kendra Greenwood, Alyssa Moreno and Camryn Holbrook were bridesmaids. Mia Ferraro was flower girl. Alex Button was best man. Tyler Ferraro, Conner Holbrook and Jake Fekkers were groomsmen. The reception was held at Mill Creek Gardens. The newlyweds honeymooned at Disneyland. They live in Hillsboro, Ore.
Gary and Charlotte Casey of Walla Walla celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at CenterPoint in Walla Walla. Friends and relatives from all over came to the celebration. The couple met through friends at a service station in Yakima. They married Aug. 14, 1962, in Coeur d’Alene and then finished high school, graduating in 1963. Gary was office manager for Peter Kiewit Sons for five years; general manager for Dave Thomas Motors in Ellensburg for three years; office manager for Yakima Asphalt for three years; then served 37 years in pastoral ministry in Washington and California. He’s currently at CenterPoint in Walla Walla, where he’s worked 22 years. He enjoys being with family and teaching the Bible. He also goes hunting, fishing and camping when time allows. Charlotte had an upholstery shop for several years and was a baker at Chalet Inn in Yakima. She has worked at Walla Walla Home Medical for 13 years. She enjoys time with her children and grandchildren and church family. Their daughter Michelle Wilde and son Michael Casey both live in College Place. They also have six grandchildren; three great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter on the way.
Freer and Lamb
Howard Freer and Bob and Stacy Fulgham announce the engagement of daughter Helen Freer to John Lamb. The groom-elect is the son of John and Donna Lamb. All are of Walla Walla. The bride-elect graduated in 2007 from Walla Walla High School and attended Walla Walla Community College. She works for S July 31 ally Beauty Supply in College Place. The groom-elect graduated from Walla Walla High School and attended Walla Walla Community College. He works for Eaton Construction in Walla Walla. The wedding is planned for Sept. 8, 2012, at The Depot in Walla Walla.
Sept and Keithley
Cassandra Sept and Kenneth Keithley wed June 9, 2012, in a ceremony at Creekstone Gardens in Walla Walla. The Rev. Albert Gillin officiated. The bride is the daughter of Dave and Stephanie Sept of Walla Walla. She is a 2004 graduate of Walla Walla High School and a 2009 graduate of Oregon State University, Cascades Campus, Bend, Ore. She works for Whitman College. The groom is the son of John Keithley and Re Reynolds, both of Walla Walla. He graduated in 2004 from Wa-Hi and in 2006 from Walla Walla Community College. He works for Wilbur Ellis in Walla Walla. The bride’s honor attendant was Kiersten Rasmussen. Her bridesmaids were Melinda Houdak, Liz Fiumara, Heather Sept and Tara Escalante. The groom’s honor attendant was Austin Thorne. His groomsmen were Abe Houdak, Bryan Ponti, Jon Conway and Jeremy Maiuri. Hailey Houdak was flower girl and Javin Houdak was ring bearer. The reception followed at Creekstone Gardens. The newlyweds honeymooned in Maui, Hawaii. They live in Walla Walla.
Ponti and Conant
Greg and Gloria Ponti of Walla Walla announce the engagement of daughter Aubrey Anne Ponti to Trent James Conant, both of Waterville, Wash. he is the son of Peg and Dale Schmidt of Waterville and Rick Conant of Wenatchee. The bride-elect graduated in 2003 from DeSales Catholic High School and in 2008 from the University of Idaho with a bachelor's in justice studies and sociology. She is a child support enforcement officer with the Department of Social and Health Services in Wenatchee. The groom-elect graduated from Waterville High School in 2004 and Washington State University in 2009 with a degree in agricultural technology and management.
