ok so I don't get to read the whole story because of the retarded way that the ub has this site set up..but reading the print story..woudn't the refusal of access be enough just cause to detain the driver and the passenger until the search warrent was processed?? we are talking about drugs and alot of stolen guns!!!and that isn't enough just cause to slap some cuffs on them and detain them for a couple hours?? at the very worst the police would have to let them go and say sorry but you understand why we had to detain you..best case scenario, they caught the criminals. WTF!!!
and one one of the guns was in plain site!! sheesh!!!

reikimaster,
If you pay for a subscription to the UB you would have access to the entire article.
You should probably keep doing what ever it is you do and leave the law enforcement to the professionals. The drugs and guns were not found until after the search.

WELL MR SMARTY ARTY Matt WOOD...I do have a subscription to the UB, and so rightfully,I should get free access to the online version..but the UB,in it's mindless way of doing things, has overlooked the fact that some print subscribers are not able to get online...and I REFUSE TO PAY FOR THIS CRAP..
that being said...The driver refused the cops access to the car..that alone should have been probable cause..I say SHOULD have been because I am not in law enforcement..and I am very happy about that. I do not envy what they do, as I am sure they would not want to do what I do.So my question to you now is..were they arrested?

What happened to the occupants after they were released? Have they been arrested yet?

reikimaster99362... email or call the UB and they can take care of your online problem. I was having the same problem. It took Carlos about 5 min to reply that it was fixed.

two who ARE NOT IN CUSTODY..yup great work there....our tax dollars hard at work....

The police department does a fine job, and unless you guys are familiar with how things need to be done LEGALLY, you should leave it to them. There has to be probable cause for them to detain these people, and yes, they wouldn't consent for obvious reasons, but that in itself is NOT probable cause to detain someone.
