A doubleheader on controversial environmental issues is scheduled for the November meeting of Blue Mountain Audubon. Part one of the program will be presented by Biology Professor Tim Parker describing how forest-nesting American songbirds are being adversely affected by fragmentation of their habitat. Profesors Bob Carson and Don Snow will following that presentation with a discussion of the controversy over planning for large rail shipments of coal through the Northwest for export to Asia. This program is free and open to the public; parking is available next to the building on the Whitman College campus.
