Phil Markowitz, jazz pianist and composer, is a 30+ year veteran of the international jazz scene having played with Chet Baker, Mel Lewis, Phil Woods, Dave Liebman, Joe Lovano, Ravi Coltrane, Toots Theilemans, and many more. He performs original compositions, which range from hard-cutting chromaticism to the most lyrical post-romantic ballads. Inventive, virtuosic, and accessible, Markowitz presents a forward-looking vision for contemporary music. He is currently on faculty at the Manhattan School of Music.
