WALLA WALLA -- Registration for the 2009 area-wide Little League Fall Baseball program will begin Saturday.
Registration will take place Saturday and Sunday and continue on Aug. 22 and Sun. 23.
Registration takes place at the Pacific Little League Fields at the Veterans Medical Center from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
For registration forms go to "handouts" at the Web site www.w2pacificll.com and download forms.
A player's Little League age, 7-through-12. is determined by the age chart for the 2010 Little League season.
There are two Little League divisions: Major, 9-through-12 and Minor, 7-9.
Games will begin the last week of September and continue through mid-October, weather permitting. The player fee is $50, with a T-shirt and cap provided.
The program needs team sponsors, and it is designed to improve Little League skills, with an emphasis on having fun and learning to play ball in game situations, not on winning.
All volunteers must fill out and pass a 50-state background check. A copy of a driver's license is required.
When registering, players must provide an original state issued birth certificates and three separate copies of proof of residence.
For more information contact John Zodnick at 509-529-6589 before each practice session.
