A free concert to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the Pioneer Park bandstand will be there at 3 p.m. Sunday in Pioneer Park. The concert celebrates 100 years of the bandstand being a popular venue for public and private celebrations. Sponsors are the city of Walla Walla, Kirkman House Museum and Walla Walla Valley Bands.

Popular music from the era the bandstand was built, including the "Notre Dame Victory March," will be played. Homemade ice cream sandwiches will be sold to raise funds for Kirkman House Museum programs and the Walla Walla Valley Bands. Community members may bring photographs of past events held around the bandstand for inclusion in a photo montage of the park over the years.
