Former Ecology watermaster starts consulting business

Bill Neve said his expertise includes helping landowners with water rights.


WALLA WALLA -- The former watermaster for Southeast Washington is now in private business as a water rights consultant.

Bill Neve, who served as the Department of Ecology watermaster for more than 20 years, is now head of Water Right Solutions, an advisement and consulting service for services relating to water rights issues.

Neve said that his expertise includes helping landowners obtain or transfer a water right, understand what their right grants them and deal with permitting and enforcement issues. His business is based from his home in Walla Walla but can deal with water right issues throughout the region.

Before resigning from Ecology to start his own business, Neve said he dealt with watershed planning, permitting, enforcement and compliance with water law and complaint investigation in Walla Walla, Columbia, Garfield and Asotin counties. He also worked extensively with local conservation districts and other private and public entities on water issues.
