American Indian culture topic of Ice Harbor Dam program


BURBANK -- Visitors can learn about American Indian culture during an educational program set for 6-8 p.m. Sept. 4 at the Hood Park Amphitheater in Burbank.

The program is sponsored by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Ice Harbor Lock and Dam.

Nez Perce Tribe Elder Elmer Crow will provide a flint napping demonstration and presentations about traditional American Indian hunting and fishing methods, the role of salmon and lamprey in spiritual life and food quest traditions.
