Juniper Jam kicks off in Enterprise


ENTERPRISE -- The Juniper Jam music festival will be from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Wallowa County Fairgrounds.

Musicians from around the Northwest join local and regional talent to provide a showcase of entertainment. Autoharpist and storyteller Bryan Bowers will be there from Seattle. Chris Kokesh, formerly of the Misty River Band, and Lincoln Crockett from Portland cover the folk and Americana category. There will also be jazz from Carolyn Lochert Jazz Combo; some alt-country-punk-Americana from The Wasteland Kings; campfire pop from James Dean Kindle and the Eastern Oregon Playboys; classical, folk and rock from the Shoemaker Brothers and blues from the Simon Tucker Group of Lewiston.

Food and drink will be available. There will be activities for children. Tickets are $10, with free admission for children up to age six. Tickets are for sale online at
