  • 600 block Newell Street. iPod from vehicle.
  • 1300 block West Pine Street. Bicycle from residence.
  • 400 block East Sumach Street. Mountain bicycle from front yard of residence.
  • 500 block South Second Avenue. Laptop from residence. 00 block Sheridan Road, Friday. Purse with contents from vehicle.
  • 400 block South Seventh Avenue, Friday. Stereo, subwoofer and mounted speakers from vehicle.

    • 200 block Southeast 19th Avenue. Bicycle from garage.
    • 100 block Depot Street. Television from home.

      • 1900 block Lake Road, Burbank. Report of resident's mail found at another location.
      • 200 block Sage Road. Report of dog possibly taken from back yard.

      ASSAULTS


      Walla Walla Police

      • 200 block South Palouse Street, 1 a.m. Saturday. A 74-year-old man was assaulted after seeing a suspect attempt to steal his vehicle.

      COLLISIONS


      Walla Walla County Sheriff

      • 1800 block West Whitman Drive, 12:30 a.m. today. Jared Chong, 22, of Whitman Drive, reports swerving to avoid an oncoming vehicle, overcorrecting, and overturning his vehicle. Chong went to Providence St. Mary Medical Center to treat injuries.
      • McDonald Road near Detour Road, 9:35 p.m. Saturday. Vehicle struck cow.
      • 1900 block J.B. George Road, 3:50 p.m. Friday. Two-vehicle collision, unknown injuries.


      ARRESTS


      Walla Walla Police

      • Patrick Stewart Walsh, 21, 1227 S.E. Murphy Lane, College Place, Sunday. Charge: investigation of driving while intoxicated.
      • Jason Gene Nathaniel Barnes, 25, 1216 Isaacs Ave., Saturday. Charges: investigation of first-degree trafficking stolen property and second-degree possessing stolen property.


      Walla Walla County Sheriff
      Dale Garrett Wheeler, 30, 1269 Melrose St., Sunday. Charge: investigation of fugitive from justice out of Umatilla County.

      Washington State Patrol

      • Aaron Robert Hawes, 27, 2771 Byrnes Road, Touchet, Sunday. Charge: investigation of driving while intoxicated.
      • Stephen Mead Over, 20, 25720 N.E. 10th St., Sammamish, Sunday. Charge: investigation of driving while intoxicated.

      College Place Police

      • James John Gilchrist, 20, 902 N. Elizabeth St. Apt. 32, Milton-Freewater, Sunday. Charge: investigation of fourth-degree assault - domestic violence.

      FIRE, AMBULANCE

      Walla Walla Fire

      • 2200 block Granite Drive, 1:37 p.m. Saturday. Excessive heat from barbecue, leading to scorch burns but no ignition.

      College Place Fire

      • Regency Park, 420 S.E. Myra Road, about 3 a.m. Saturday. Trash can on fire.

      VANDALISM


      Walla Walla County Sheriff

      • 00 block Gala Drive. Vehicle's tries slashed.
      • About 4 miles up Biscuit Ridge Road, reported Friday. Extensive damage to trailer and cabin, with windows and locks broken in possible attempt to commit theft. Fire extinguisher taken from trailer was extinguished on the property.


      Milton-Freewater Police

      • Golf Course, 301 Catherine Ave. Fence, flag pole and two greens damaged.
      • 600 block Northeast Fifth Avenue. Vehicle damaged.
