WALLA WALLA -- A new trustee has joined the Walla Walla Community College Board.
Kathy Small will replace Mary Grant Tompkins, who has served on the board for 11 years. Small's appointment was announced by Governor Chris Gregoire recently, according to a college news release.
Small brings more than 30 years of experience working at the college, having retired in 2004 as vice-president of student services. In retirement Small established STC, a consulting firm specializing in leadership training and conflict resolution, and serves as its president, according to the news release. She is also active in local groups, including Blue Mountain Community Foundation, Sherwood Trust Advisory Board, Altrusa International and Exchange Club of Walla Walla.
Small's term on the Board of Trustees runs through Sept. 30, 2014.
