Willow's Annex Gallery at Trio is hosting "Collages" by Rachel Smith through Dec. 27 at Trio Vintners, 596 Piper Ave.
Smith will be at Trio Vintners 11 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Saturday to discuss her collage artwork.
In her artist's statement, Smith said, "In these collages, I created new implications and contexts by reorganizing preexisting images and text. ... Found objects retain traces of past ownership. I've tried to produce a tension between intimacy and exposure through personal and collective memories surrounding these objects."
Smith currently resides in Moscow, Idaho, where she is working toward a master's in fine art at the University of Idaho.
