4 arrested in meth case

WALLA WALLA — A police call to break up a fight ended with a discovery of methamphetamine and the arrest of four people.

Police were called to 137 Sheridan Road at 8:30 a.m. Friday for a fight. They found Larry R. Damm, 22, in the front yard.

While police were arresting Damm for investigation of warrants from College Place and Pasco, they discovered evidence that led to a search warrant being issued for the house.

Because police were unsure about the amount of drugs at the residence and the number of adults and children involved, police report that special units had to be called, including a SWAT unit and Children’s Protective Services.

Three children, ages 8, 5, and 3, were taken into custody due to the living conditions at the residence.

The three other people arrested were Michael Lynn Buffalohorn, 36, for investigation of a felony warrant; James D. Dunleavy, 27, for investigation of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia; and Larry G. Damm Sr., 46, for investigation of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

A woman was also transported to an area hospital for what police reported as possibly being under the under the influence of narcotics.
