Izzy of Waitsburg will appear in the Milton Seventh-day Adventist Church presentation of a living nativity this weekend.
The camel, famous in the region, is new to the second year of the living nativity, organizers said. Possible appearances by llamas and donkeys are anticipated as well, said director Becky St. Clair.
Last year's presentation brought in nearly 200 viewers and supplies for a church-affiliated food bank that serves the area, she said.
The free show, which runs 6-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, is called "Journey to Bethlehem." It features a Bethlehem city "street" for visitors to walk down and meet costumed villagers, transported back to the moment of Jesus' birth.
Live Christmas music, hot drinks and cookies will also be available at the church, which is on Highway 11 across from Napa Auto at the north end of Milton-Freewater.
Those attending are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items.
