Pirates notch seven wins in Moscow


MOSCOW, Idaho — Pomeroy notched seven wins on the mats in a wrestling match with Lewiston and Moscow here Thursday.
No team scores were kept for the match.

The Pirate winners included Nick Tewalt (130 pounds), Jacob Moore (135), Tory Knebel (160), Austin Reisdorph (171), Klyntin Bott (189), Matt Slaybaugh (215) and Jeffrey Warren (285).

"This was a good first outing for us," Pomeroy coach Derek Shawley said. "We have the largest turnout we’ve had with 18 kids.

"So this is a very good way to start the season."

The Pirates wrestle again today at Cottonwood, Idaho, with a 6 p.m. start.
