Walla Walla resident Emma Diane Gale, 60, formerly of Homedale, Idaho, died Dec. 8, 2009, at the University of Washington Hospital, Seattle.
Viewing will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 27 East Owyhee Ave., Homedale. The service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Homedale. Burial will follow at Marsing-Homedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Gale was born Jan. 27, 1949, at Fort Wayne, Ind., to Thomas and Eva Chapman. She moved with her family to California where they were migrant field workers. She married Michael Gale on March 4, 1967, at Quartzsite, Ariz. They moved to Homedale in 1976 and she worked for J.C. Watson for 13 years packing fruit.
In 1990, the couple moved to Walla Walla and she worked for Shopko until 1997 when she had a brain aneurysm. She had endured several health issues since that time.
She enjoyed fishing, being a homemaker and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Michael James Gale Jr. of Nampa, Idaho; three daughters, Cynthia Diane Morris, of Federal Way, Wash., Tammy Ann Bohlman of Burbank and Heather Marie Miller of Walla Walla; two brothers, Gary and James; four sisters, Marie, Eva, Nancy and Susie; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Tom.
