An informational meeting on a project proposal to improve Mill Creek Road will be held Thursday.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Fire District 4 station, 6549 Mill Creek Road.
The Walla Walla County Public Works Department has submitted a Washington Forest Highway Project Proposal to make safety and drainage improvements along the road. Aaron Grimm, project engineer, said that if the county is selected for funding improvements may include shoulder widening and paving, realignment of Mill Creek Road at Five Mile Road, culvert replacements and improvements to or replacement of the Mill Creek Bridge near Scenic Loop Road.
Comments on the proposal are being sought and will be accepted through the end of this year, Grimm said. Written comments can be sent to the county Public Works Department, P.O. Box 813, Walla Walla, WA 99362. Letters should be marked in reference to "Forest Highways Grant."
