WALLA WALLA -- At least one person was injured this morning in an apparent tank explosion at a local salvage yard, authorities said.
The accident was reported about 9:30 a.m. today at Stubblefield Salvage and Recycling, 980 N.E. Myra Road.
Walla Walla Fire District 4 and Walla Walla City Fire crews responded to the call.
The city's Deputy Fire Chief Brad Morris said the city's ambulance service transported one person to a local hospital for possible arm and leg burns.
District 4 was handling the investigation.
