KENNEWICK — Charles L. "Chuck" Hitchcock Jr., 59, died Dec. 18, 2009, at Hospice at The Chaplaincy in Kennewick, 2108 W. Entiat Place.

The memorial service will be Monday 2 p.m. at Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla. His daughter, Jennifer Baker, will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at The Chaplaincy in Kennewick through the funeral home.

Mr. Hitchcock was born Aug. 15, 1950, in Inglewood, Calif., to Charles Leslie and Genevieve Alice Kisner Hitchcock. He graduated from Kurt T. Sherry High School in Torrance, Calif., in 1969. He spent most of his life in Walla Walla, and had also lived in Roswell, N.M., for a time. He moved to Kennewick in 2006. On Sept. 30, 2006, he and Deborah Martinez married in Las Vegas. He had worked in retail.

A fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he enjoyed watching football on television, fishing, listening to all types of music, but most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of Kennewick; three daughters, Lisa Hitchcock of Walla Walla, Melinda Houdak of Maple Valley, Wash., and Jennifer Baker of Citrus Heights, Calif.; a sister, Sharon Vanderhye of Capitan, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and a niece and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
