Four Wildcats score in double figures as Colton races past Pirates

COLTON — Kelsey Moser scored 19 points to pace four Colton players in double figures here Friday night as the Wildcats raced to a 74-35 Southeast B District Northern Division girls basketball victory over Pomeroy.

Mollie Kramer added 18 points, Haley Moser finished with 13 and McKenzie Healet tallied 10 as Colton improved to 4-0 on the season and dropped the Pirates to 1-3.

Karlei Martin led the Pirates with 15 points.

Colton played to a 24-7 lead early behind Kramer’s 13 first-quarter points, and the Wildcats were never threatened.

Colton forced 26 Pirate turnovers in the game.

Pomeroy entertained Tekoa-Oakesdale Saturday in another division counter. Colton returns to action Tuesday at home against Genesee, Idaho, in a non-league game.
