Steven Clink

YAKIMA — Former Walla Walla resident Steven Randall Clink, 56, died Dec. 17, 2009, at the Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, 2811 Tieton Drive.

The memorial service will be Tuesday 12 p.m. at the Amazing Grace Church of the Nazarene, 717 E. Alder St., Walla Walla, with the Rev. Ron Alexander officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to North Star Cancer Center of Yakima through Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla.

Mr. Clink was born Oct. 1, 1953, in Moses Lake, Wash., to George William and Betty Lou Helfer Clink. He graduated from Walla Walla High School and attended Walla Walla Community College and Spokane Falls Community College in Spokane. On Aug. 23, 1975, he and Anita Coronado married in Walla Walla. He was a driver for United Parcel Service and district sales representative and manager for the Washington Lottery.

He was a wonderful husband and father, avid sports fan and greatly enjoyed being involved in his children’s activities. He worked many long hours developing the football field complex at the Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter and grandson. He had a special place in his heart for his dog, Charlie.

Mr. Clink is survived by his wife at their home in Yakima; a daughter, Renee Segault of San Juan Islands, Wash.; a son, Ryan Clink of Hobbs, New Mexico; a sister: Kathleen Smoak of Shady Cove, Ore.; two grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pamela Lynn Fratus.
