TOUCHET — The well-oiled boys basketball machine that is the undefeated Liberty Christian Patriots rolled into Touchet Friday and headed home with a comfortable 68-48 non-league victory.

"They’re a very tall team, a very smooth team," said Touchet coach Tim McKeown. "They’re well disciplined and unselfish. If you were a coach, I suppose it would be your dream team.

"We tried to deny them, we tried to full-front them, but they (because of their size) got rebounds and put-backs and we couldn’t defend that," he said. "Our guys were overwhelmed. They had that ‘oh no, not again’ look in their eyes."

Jake Siefken led the Patriots with 22 points and seven steals.

Six-foot, 5-inch post Bryan Corrigan registered a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Indians were led by Jake Hodnefield’s 17 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals.
