BURBANK — The balanced scoring attack of the Columbia-Burbank Coyotes was too much for Warden’s Cougars Saturday in girls basketball action. The Coyotes won 54-15.

Burbank got up 31-4 at half and continued to outscore its opponent throughout the game.

"We got off to a hot start and never looked back," Burbank coach John Muchlinski said.

Tiffany Idler led all scorers with 12 points. Briana Rivas added nine points for the Coyotes.

Both Katie Breazeale and Sarah Rude of Burbank chipped in six points apiece.

"Defense was the key tonight," Muchlinski said.

Burbank held Warden to 15 total points for the game.

Warden edged Burbank on the boards, 38-34.

"We need to work on rebounding a bit," Muchlinski said. "We gave up way to many rebounds to the Cougars."

Nicole Roberts grabbed a team-leading eight rebounds for the Coyotes.
