$n$ Enterprise's Despain leads team to 46-28 win over Weston-McEwen girls

ENTERPRISE — Summer Despain scored 12 of her game-high 14 points in the first half here Saturday to lead Enterprise to a 46-28 victory over Weston-McEwen in a Blue Mountain Conference girls basketball contest.

The loss dropped the TigerScots to 0-2 in the BMC and 0-8 overall.

Sydney Porter led W-M with nine points and teammate Morgan Entze grabbed 13 rebounds.

"We held (Sara) Butterfield to five points," W-M coach Amber Doremus said. "She is one of their leading scorers.

"We did not send them to the free-throw line many times (eight), so we played good defense with our feet," Doremus said. "We came out of the locker room in the second half more ready to play."
