TOUCHET — Zoe Weaver scored 14 points, had seven rebounds and four assists, but it wasn’t enough to outscore the Rosalia Spartans here Saturday night. The Spartan girls beat the Touchet Indians 71-57 in the high-scoring affair.

"You live and die by the 3-pointer," Touchet coach Scott Pumphrey said. "Tonight, Rosalia hit all the big shots from behind the arc, just about everytime we started to catch up."

Rosalia did hit seven 3-pointers on the night.

"The Spartans hit some really big buckets to keep their lead right around 10-12 points most of the game," he noted.

Touchet cut into the lead to get within 5-7 points several times, but not any closer.

Also scoring in double figures for the Indians was ReAna Butler, who had 10 points.

"It’s frustrating that we losing, but we’re getting better," Pumphrey. "The holiday break will give us some time to practice, get better and be more ready to take on our opponents."
