POMEROY — Pomeroy wrestled to a second-placed finish at the Pirates’ nine-team Christmas Tournament here Wednesday.
Tournament champions for the Pirates included Jacob Moore (135-pound weight class), Troy Knebel (160) and Klyntin Bott (189).
Pomeroy’s second-place finishers included Wyatt Jenkins (145), Austin Aldrich (160) and Mat Slaybaugh (215).
Pomeroy third-place finishers included Troy Atchley (125), Nick Tewalt (130), Craig Heitstuman (145), Scott Wolf (152), Austin Reisdorph (171), Tyler Reisdorph (189) and Ethan McGee (215).
Finishing fourth for Pomeroy were Ryan Smith (130), Mike Wymore (171) and Jeff Warren (285).
Pomeroy’s Tyler King (119) did not place.
The Pirates return to action with a 6 p.m. match at Burbank.
