DAYTON -- A new restaurant, Mom's Highway 12 Ristorante, recently opened at 134 E. Main St. It is located in the building that formerly housed Gasoline Alley, which featured a bus as part of the building.
The bus is long gone.
Owners are Emil Johnson and his mother, Sheila Silburn. Silburn is an experienced restaurant operator. This is her fifth restaurant, she said. She recently operated a restaurant in the Village Shoppes, and the other three were in Oregon, including a restaurant and lounge at Crooked River Ranch in the central Oregon.
In December the breakfast and lunch menu will expand to include pizza, along with extended hours.
Presently hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
