Walla Walla resident Linda Dansereau, 63, died Nov. 7, 2009, at her home.
The memorial service will be 1 p.m., Sunday in the Heubach Chapel of the Walla Walla University Seventh-day Adventist Church, 212 S.W. Fourth St, College Place. Jerry Mahn, a lay minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, will officiate. A gathering will follow in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Walla Walla Community Hospice through Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla, WA 99362.
Mrs. Dansereau was born June 21, 1946, in Fort Peck, Mont., to Robert and Mary Riley McKinnon. On March 24, 1962, she and Delon Dansereau married in Coeur d'Alene. Her role as a homemaker was of utmost importance to her. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible. A very giving person, she loved helping others, and volunteered at the church's community services center. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The couple moved to the area from Spokane in 2007.
She is survived by her husband at their home; her mother of Vancouver, Wash.; two daughters, Tana Gonser of Hayden, Idaho and Marie-France Wiggins of Walla Walla; a sister, Judy Griffeth of Vancouver; five brothers, Jim McKinnon of Coos Bay, Ore., Wayne McKinnon of Beaverton, Ore., Raymond McKinnon and Donald McKinnon both of Deer Lodge, Mont., and Robin McKinnon of Vancouver; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Audie McKinnon.
