WALLA WALLA -- ArtWalla will present six new windows bearing 36 images for its "Windows on the Past" ongoing project.
The unveiling is scheduled for Dec. 4 at noon in Heritage Park on Main Street.
The mural, on the side of the 1902 Odd Fellows building, celebrates Walla Walla's ethnic and cultural heritage.
In the 36 panels to be unveiled, images from the Japanese, Irish, African American, Latino, Chinese, Native American, Ukrainian, French, German, Jewish, Italian, Swiss, Polish, Swedish, Scottish and English communities in the Walla Walla Valley are represented.
Several descendents and family members of people in the panel photos will attend the unveiling and speak briefly about their family history in the community.
This is ArtWalla's largest unveiling to date. The organization has one more set of six windows to finish for the project.
