MILTON-FREEWATER -- Residents will have the opportunity this week to learn about the district's new modular office, and talk with board members about school district matters.
On Tuesday, community members are invited to an open house reception, scheduled from 3-5 p.m., to debut the district's new modular office at 1020 S. Mill St. Refreshments will be served.
The district moved to the South Mill Street location from its former home on South Main Street in late October. The modular building was acquired from the Hermiston School District and transported, installed and remodeled to serve as the district's main offices. The new office houses the district's administration, which includes the office of Superintendent Marilyn McBride.
On Saturday, area residents are invited to stop by the city's public library from 9-11 a.m. to meet with School Board members. The community roundtable discussions will follow an informal format with no formal agenda, for the city's residents to offer input and ask questions related to the school district.
The discussions are to be held in the library's Albee Room and are open to the general public.
