Walla Walla resident Ronald Lee Munns, 72, of 27 S. Palouse St. died Oct. 2, 2009, at his home.
The memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel of Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder St. The Rev. Bob Grimm of the Christian Life Center of Walla Walla will officiate. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 2120 S. Second Ave.
Memorial contributions may be made to Walla Walla Community Hospice or the Salvation Army through the funeral home.
Mr. Munns was born in Touchet on Dec. 27, 1936, to Guy Franklin and Eva Grace Dodson Munns. He graduated from Touchet High School in 1955. He attended Columbia Basin Community College for secondary education and professional training. He was a surveyor.
He married Charlotte Rose Peck in Pomeroy on Sept. 30, 1961.
Mr. Munns was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church and also a member of Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. No. 287.
He is survived by his wife at the home; one daughter, Ramona Kemph of College Place; three sons, Ronald and Anthony Munns of Walla Walla and Jeff Munns of Orting, Wash.; a sister, Janice Peppley, of Kennewick; four brothers, Raymond Munns of Pomeroy, Harvey Munns of Orroyo Grande, Calif., Delbert Munns of Livermore, Calif. and Lawrence K. Munns of Columbia, Md.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Marjorie Anderson, Betty Johnson and Barbara Richards; and two brothers, Richard and Ivan Munns.
