GARFIELD — Pomeroy rolled to a 3-0 sweep of Garfield-Palouse in Southeast B North Division volleyball action here Thursday.
The Pirates won 25-16, 26-24 and 25-17 and improved in the North to 2-1 (7-4 overall).
Leaders for the Pirates included Heather VanVoght with nine kills, four blocks and five digs; Kindsey Bott with seven kills and seven stuff blocks; Sadie Slaybaugh with five digs; and Melissa Bartlow with 17 assists.
"It was good to bounce back with a good match after a less-than-great performance on Tuesday," Pomeroy coach Bruce Crossfield said. "And when you get a win in the other team’s gym it’s a good win."
Pomeroy travels to Waitsburg-Prescott for a 7 p.m. match on Tuesday.
