YAKIMA — Wa-Hi dropped a 9-1 Big Nine Conference soccer match to West Valley here on Saturday.
Paige Pontarolo scored the Blue Devils’ goal off of a penalty kick.
"West Valley has a lot of speed, and plays with three front runners, which put a lot of pressure on our defense," Wa-Hi coach Alyssa Latham said. "They are great at getting forward.
"We played with a lot of effort, and possessed the ball," Latham added. "We just couldn’t get in.
"The girls never gave up and played hard," she said.
