WALLA WALLA -- Roland Schirman of Dayton has been appointed to the Walla Walla Community College Board of Trustees.
Schirman replaces Jon McFarland, whose term ended in June.
According to a news release, Gov. Chris Gregoire announced the appointment of Schirman, who retired in 2005 after a 42-year career as an agriculture research/extension agent with Washington State University.
Schirman has served on several groups and organizations related to agriculture and was a hospital district commissioner, according to a news release.
