Irish's fast start leads to volleyball defeat of Asotin

WALLA WALLA — DeSales started fast and held on to defeat Asotin in four Southeast B crossover volleyball games at the Irish gym on Tuesday.


The Irish won 25-19, 26-24, 20-25 and 27-27 and improved their record to 4-5.


Caitlin Duncan led DeSales with nine kills and six blocks.


Irish leaders included Abby Larreau with six kills and three blocks, Megan Moberg with two kills, Stephanie Ferell with two kills and Jamie Majerus with two kills.


"We had a good recovery after last week’s match," DeSales coach Lori Blanc said. "The girls played really well the first two games."


DeSales plays again at 7 p.m. at Walla Walla Valley Academy on Thursday.
