MILTON-FREEWATER — Karllee Clark hammered 13 hits and passed around 54 assists, but La Grande garnered the Greater Oregon League volleyball victory 25-15, 25-13 and 25-18 here on Tuesday.
Other leaders for the Pioneers included Kandi Bier with nine hits and 43 assists and Stefanie Baker with 27 assists.
"(Tuesday) we had our second match with La Grande," Mac-Hi coach Elizabeth Ellis said. "We played better than last week.
"We’re getting better, but again, the downfall of the team is their inability to let go of errors and come back tougher," Ellis continued. "It’s going to be our focus for the rest of the season to play hard all the time and try to concentrate on being positive and keeping our intensity up.
"When we have that combination, the girls play great. All-in-all, tonight’s performance was a 7 out of 10," she said. "Not bad, but there is definitely room for improvement."
