PENDLETON — Walla Walla Community College fell in three NWAACC Eastern Region volleyball games to Blue Mountain here Wednesday.
The Timberwolves won 25-18, 25-23 and 25-18.
WWCC is now 4-4 in the East and 15-11 on the season.
Leaders for the Warriors inlcuded Ashley Magee with 10 kills; Emilee Togt with eight kills and three blocks; Cassie Phippen with six kills; Nikki Long with four kills, 10 digs and six blocks; Sarah McLean with 17 assists and eight digs; Sharsti Goff with 13 assists; and Megan Tompkins with 15 digs.
"Statistically we played a pretty good match," WWCC coach Tim Toon said. "Unfortunately the scoreboard told a different story.
"We played really well to about 15 points, then Blue Mountain kicked it into a higher gear, and we put on the breaks," Toon continued. "In set two, we were tied at 20-20 and missed two serves (including set point) to lose 25-23.
"Right now we lack enough players who want the ball at critical times in the match," he said.
The Warriors return to action at the Pierce Crossover tournament Friday and Saturday.
