POMEROY — On course from start to finish, Pomeroy’s Pirates sailed past Rosalia 15-11, 25-12, 15-11 here Thursday night in a Southeast B District Northern Division volleyball match.
The Pirates improved to 8-5 overall heading into a Tuesday division counter at Lacrosse-Washtucna.
"We stayed pretty consistent," said Pomeroy coach Bruce Crossfield. "In other matches we’ve seemed to lose our focus after a game or two, but we did a better job of keeping our focus in this one."
Kindsey Bott led the Pirates at the net with nine kills and added four blocks. Heather Van Vogt finished with four kills and five digs, Delaney Monahan tallied three kills and three blocks, and HayLee Koller had three kills to go with three digs and three service aces.
Melissa Butler was Pomeroy’s assist leader with 12. She also had four digs and was 12-for-12 serving.
Sadie Slaybaugh was 12-for-12 serving and chipped in with four digs. Samantha Smith added four digs.
