TigerScots sweep Union to remain perfect in conference play

UNION, Ore. — Weston-McEwen ran its Blue Mountain Conference volleyball record to 8-0 with a three-game victory over Union here on Thursday.


The TigerScots rolled over the Bobcats 25-11, 25-21 and 25-20 and now boast a 28-4 record for the season.


Leaders for the TigerScots included what coach Shawn White called a "very, very good day" for Renee Baumann.


Baumann went 30-for-31 at the service line with 12 aces. She also belted 11 kills and had eight digs.


Other W-M leaders included Jordan Reger with 11 assists and seven digs; Morgan Entze with 10 assists, six digs, five blocks and two aces; Tiffany Cain with seven kills; Presley Pahl with 12 digs, 12 kills and seven blocks.


W-M plays two matches with Irrigon and Pilot Rock at Irrigon on Saturday. Play begins at noon, and White expects the TigerScots to tip off at about 3 p.m.
