Grizzlies end Big Sky East volleyball play unbeaten with Saturday win at Condon-Wheeler


FOSSIL, Ore. — Helix completed a perfect 6-0 run through the Big Sky Conference’s East Division volleyball wars here Saturday with a three-game sweep of Condon-Wheeler, 25-14, 25-10, 25-19.

The victory raised the Grizzlies’ overall mark to 21-6.

Chyanne Hack led the way with six kills for Helix. Meghan Schroeder and Leona Benoit added four kills apiece.

Addie Terjeson served 16-of-17 with two aces for the Grizzlies and Hack was 17-for-18 with four aces.

"I was pleased with the girls," Helix coach Tammie Parker said. "I thought we took good care of the ball. My setter, Kylee Rogers, distributed it well.

"The girls were relaxed (and displayed) more intensity than we’ve had in a while," Parker said. "The girls are proud of having an undefeated league season."

The Grizzlies play at Union on Tuesday.
