WALLA WALLA — The Walla Walla Community College men’s and women’s soccer teams defeated Treasure Valley Saturday afternoon on the Warriors’ field.
The WWCC men toppled the Chukars 3-1 to run their NWAACC Eastern Division record to 6-2-0 and move past TVCC and into first place in the division standings. Treasure Valley is 6-3-0 following Saturday’s defeat.
The Warrior women were 1-0 victors over the Chukars. Walla Walla remains unbeaten in the East at 9-0-0 and Treasure Valley slipped to 6-2-1.
Miguel Acevedo, Juan Garcia and Mikey Ramos scoered goals for the Warrior men on Saturday. Ramos also picked up the game’s only assist.
Christain Salgado scored unassisted for the Chukars.
Becky Ryerse scored the lone goal for the Warrior women with an assist from Tahlia O’Loughlin.
The Warrior women take a 12-1-0 overall record to Wenatchee on Wednesday for a 2 p.m. match. The WWCC men, 9-2-0 on the year, take on the Knights at 4 p.m.
