DAYTON — Dayton nipped Walla Walla Valley Academy in a four-game Southeast B South volleyball match here on Thursday.
The Bulldogs won 27-25, 27-25, 24-26 and 25-11 and improved to 4-2 in the South and 5-7 overall.
The Bulldog leaders were Kayla Dedloff with 8 kills and three aces; Mieke Masselink with seven kills and 17 digs; McKayla Bickelhapt with 13 digs, eight kills and two aces; Kayla Turner with seven kills and 12 assists; Nicole Lambert with 13 assists and 20 digs; and Amanda Melton with six kills and five aces.
WWVA leaders included Tori Buell with 10 kills, Kristi Buell with 10 assists and 15-for-15 serving, Sandy Avalos with 33 digs and Bri Leen with seven blocks.
"It was great for us to get two wins this week," Dayton coach Shannon Turner said. "We’ve won the last four-out-of-five matches."
Dayton plays Liberty Christian on Tuesday at the Bulldogs’ gym with a 7 p.m. start.
