ATHENA — Weston-McEwen served well in a three-game sweep of Enterprise in Blue Mountain Conference volleyball action here Thursday.
The TigerScots won 25-12, 25-17 and 25-14.
W-M improved its conference record to 11-0. W-M is now 31-4 on the season.
Thursday’s TigerScot leaders were Morgan Entze with 12 assists, two kills, 16-for-16 serving and two aces; Jordan Reger with 15 assists, 9-for-9 serving and two aces; Tiffany Cain with five kills; Renee Baumann with eight digs, 10 kills and three aces; Presley Pahl with eight digs, 12 kills and two aces; Jessica Stevens with four kills and two blocks; Haley Freske with three blocks; Laina Fairchild with one dig, one block and one ace; Leanne Harndon with five digs; and Mary Herbes with six digs and one ace.
"I was pleased with the way we played," W-M coach Shawn White said. "We wanted to come out and be aggressive, and we did that well. We also served very well throughout the match.
"Enterprise was shorthanded because of the flu," he continued. "But they stepped up an played better than they played in the match at Enterprise.
"It was an entertaining match, with a lot of rallies and a lot of energy," White said. "It was a good match."
The TigerScots play twice on Saturday at Elgin.
Elgin opens with Heppner at noon, and the Mustangs and the TigerScots play following that match, at approximately 1:30 p.m.
W-M then plays Stanfield at approximately 3 p.m.
