Activities and weekly lunch menus at area senior centers
Activities offered daily at The Center at the Park, 720 Sprague Ave., include pool and cards from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. A complete listing of current center activities, classes and health and welfare programs may be found in the center’s monthly newsletter. The annual center membership fee, $12 per person, includes a subscription to it. Spanish is spoken at the Center. Adult day care is provided at the Adult Day Center 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday. For more information call Mike Johnson at 527-0771.
Senior Round Table luncheons are served weekdays at noon at The Center. For more information call 527-3775. Bread and milk are served with all meals and a salad bar is available Monday-Friday. The menu this week is:
Monday: Breaded chicken patty with gravy, green beans, mashed potatoes, apricots.
Tuesday: Baked ham with pineapple, broccoli, au gratin potatoes, applesauce.
Wednesday: Beef stroganoff over noodles, carrots, coleslaw, biscuit, peaches.
Thursday: Creamed tuna over biscuit, broccoli, corn fruit juice or salad, pudding.
Friday: Meatballs and gravy, flavor fiesta vegetables, mashed potatoes, fruit juice or salad, rice pudding.
Lunch is served at Waitsburg Presbyterian Church, 504 Main St., Waitsburg on Tuesdays. Home-delivered meals are available. Questions: call 527-3775
Milton-Freewater and Weston senior citizens can enjoy hot lunches and socialize at the senior centers in Milton-Freewater and Weston. Activities are offered 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Fridays at the Milton-Freewater Senior Citizens Center, 311 N. Main St. Hot lunches are served at noon on Tuesdays and Fridays. Bingo is 1 p.m. every Tuesday and pinochle is 7 p.m. every Friday. The Weston Senior Citizens Center on Main Street is open for social time and a hot lunch is served at noon on Wednesdays.

The suggested donation is $3.50 for meals for those 60 and older or children under 8; and $6 for those 59 and younger. Bread and milk are served with all meals. The menu for Milton-Freewater is:
Tuesday: Beef stew, tossed salad, orange slices, biscuits with cheese, pineapple upside down cake.
Friday: Fish with tarter sauce, parsley potatoes, tossed salad with carrots, applesauce, corneal muffin, cookie.

Wednesday: Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, three bean salad, baked squash, hot rolls, fruit cobbler.
Seniors of the Blue Mountains and Walla Walla Valley offer a meal at noon Thursdays in the Milton-Freewater Community Building, 109 N.E. Fifth Ave. Hot rolls and milk are served with every meal. The suggested donation is $3. The menu this week is:
