VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Former Walla Wallan David Ray Bogle, 60, died Aug. 27, 2009, at his home following a battle with cancer.
A celebration of life and potluck will be noon Sept. 12 at the shelter in Pioneer Park on the Whitman Street side. Chicken will be provided. Arrangements were through Wherity Family Funerals & Cremations in Tualatin, Ore.
Mr. Bogle was born April 13, 1949, in Walla Walla to Raymond Garfield and Loraine Beverly Johnson Bogle. He graduated from Walla Walla High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Dianna Burke on April 27, 1974, in Walla Walla.
He had worked at a variety of jobs and was employed by Pendleton Woolen Mills in Washougal, Wash., when he became ill. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was easygoing, always had a smile and was devoted to God.
Mr. Bogle is survived by his wife, at the home; two sons, Jonathan Bogle of Walla Walla and Andrew Bogle of Vancouver, Wash.; two daughters, Tamara Manyrath of Albany, Ore., and Rebecca Baumgartner of St. Louis; and seven grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents; and a sister, Kathy Bogle Uribe.
