WALLA WALLA — Washington State Patrol was called in on at least two accidents this weekend, one involving a motorcycle and a hay baler outside of Touchet, and the other a rollover on state Highway 125 that required extrication of the driver.
The rollover happened Friday at 5:40 p.m. and involved a 1960s VW Bug on Highway 125 near Plaza Way. Firefighters had to cut the roof of the vehicle to extricate the one occupant, the driver, who was transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center.
The driver received minor injuries, but troopers would not release a name.
The second accident happened Saturday afternoon two miles east of Touchet on U.S. Highway 12.
State Patrol report Miroslav Roska, 59, of Walla Walla was riding a Honda VTX motorcycle and was trying to pass a car when he collided with a hay baler driven by Carla Pinza, 50, of Touchet, who was stopped to make a left turn.
Pinza was not injured. Roska’s condition was not available.
