WALLA WALLA — Pacific Power electric customers who need assistance with energy bills can apply at Blue Mountain Action Council for help.

To be eligible a household must be responsible for its electric bills and have a household income at or below federal poverty guidelines. For example, a household of one person may have a monthly income of up to $1,128; two people, up to $1,518; and three people, up to $1,907.

Pacific Power will determine a discount amount that will appear on the customers' bills. November through April, eligible households' bills will reflect a discount for all kilowatt hours used over 600 per month.

Walla Walla County residents can make appointments for the program by calling 529-4980. There is limited help available and households that received a discount in the past must reapply.
