STARBUCK -- Jerry Wayne Taylor, 67, of 113 Main St. died Sept. 5, 2009, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center.
A private graveside service is planned for a later date.

Mr. Taylor was born Aug. 15, 1942, in Wetumka, Okla., to Paul and Lucille Newman Taylor. He moved to Dayton with his parents and graduated from Dayton High School in 1960. He lettered in baseball all four years of high school. He married Marcia Beus in 1968, they later divorced.
He served in the U.S. Army and worked in Alaska on the Alyeska Pipeline. Since 1986, he lived in Starbuck. He enjoyed working for area farmers, especially Ted and Jay Penner. He enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his companion and friend, Bonnie Vancouver, at the home; two daughters, Stacy Squires of Pocatello, Idaho, and Cary Brenchley of Mountlake Terrace, Wash.; a brother, Del Taylor of Anderson, Alaska; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert Dean Taylor.
