Applications are being taken to fill a vacancy on the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days board of directors.
The person appointed to the position will fill the unexpired term of board member Tim Corfield, who died in early August. The term has two years remaining.
Members of the fair board meet once a month or as needed. Members serve in a volunteer capacity, performing duties as outlined in various board-related job descriptions.
Application packets can be downloaded from the County Web site or picked up at the Walla Walla County commissioners' office at the county Public Health and Legislative Building, 314 West Main St.
Packets can also be requested by calling the commissioners' Office at 524-2505 and may also be obtained from the county fairgrounds main office located on the fairgrounds at Ninth Avenue and Orchard Street. Questions can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Application packets must be returned to the county commissioners' office by Sept. 25.
